VILLAGE MATTERS (News & What's on)
Examiner has submitted her Final Report
The examiner has submitted her final report on our Plan to Babergh stating that once the minor recommendations she has asked for have been included, the plan should go through to next stage - the referendum.
You can find a copy of the Examiner's report
Please show you support for our Plan at the referendum.
21.4.2016 - After careful consideration the Parish Council has decided to take the planning applications on Moores Lane and Hadleigh Road to Judicial Review (JR). Babergh’s unwillingness to listen to the views of the people of East Bergholt left us with no alternative. 9.5.2016 The JR claim form for Hadleigh Road has been lodged in the Planning Court - we await the Judges decision as to whether we have a valid claim
The NP referendum is getting closer! OUR NEIGHBOURHOOD PLAN BEING MADE IS EVEN MORE IMPORTANT IN LIGHT OF THE APPROVAL OF THE 154 HOUSES TO PREVENT BABERGH FROM APPROVING MORE LARGE HOUSING NUMBERS OR INAPPROPRIATE SITES. Parish Clerk (01206 298692).
